Is research only for students who want to go to graduate school? Isn&#8217;t my coursework enough?<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>No, no, and maybe not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research is the systematic gathering of information to help you answer a question or solve a problem. Research is going on right now all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate research can help &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Improve communication skills<\/li><li>Find opportunities to present and publish ideas<\/li><li>Test determination and perseverance<\/li><li>Develop creativity, problem-solving, and intellectual independence<\/li><li>Develop research skills including gathering and analyzing data and speaking effectively<\/li><li>Strengthen personal portfolios<\/li><li>Attain professional advancement, professional development, and personal development<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;<em>How are CG&amp;ARP projects staffed?<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Each CG&amp;ARP project is led by a Project Lead, typically a faculty or professional member, who manages the project. The remainder of a project team consist of undergraduate students who actually do the research, and others who act as advisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;What happens to results produced by project teams?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>At various stages in a project&#8217;s life, the team will determine if sufficient progress has been made to merit formally documenting the team&#8217;s work, and submitting this documentation for publication or presentation at a conference or symposium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a project has been completed, a formal report will be produced and archived on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, click on the CONTACT link above.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;What is the purpose of CG&amp;ARP?&#8220; The purpose of CG&amp;ARP is twofold.
