SIGGRAPH 2024, in Denver, CO, was a success for our group, given I was able to host not one but two presentations for CG&ARP. The first was a Birds-of-a-Feather session, and the second was a workshop for the student volunteers. Already, several students have expressed interest in joining our projects teams.
One change with respect to undergraduate student participation is that in order to work on a project team a student must also be doing the work to satisfy part of their degree. For example, CG&ARP project work could be used to satisfy part of an existing course (think extra credit) or perhaps as an independent study.
Lastly, the first online, full CG&ARP meeting for the Fall will be Friday, September 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM EDT. If you’re on our email list, you’ll be receiving a link for the session shortly.
